Infigo and Ultimate Tech automate imposition for web-to-print orders with Ultimate Impostrip®
Orders placed on an Infigo storefront now move straight into Ultimate Impostrip® automated imposition, with production-ready files delivered to your existing hotfolder or MIS.
Infigo and Ultimate Tech have launched a new Impostrip web-to-print integration, built on the two companies’ existing partnership. It connects the Infigo web-to-print platform to Ultimate Impostrip®, Ultimate Tech’s imposition and prepress automation software, so online orders arrive in production already imposed.
For most print providers, the time goes after checkout, when someone checks the job details, prepares the file and builds the imposition layout by hand. The integration hands that work to Ultimate Impostrip, which Ultimate Tech designed for “lights-out” automation: impositions, gang runs, nesting layouts and marks generated from predefined rules, with no manual set-up for each job.
How the Impostrip web-to-print integration works
Imposition runs automatically as the final step of Infigo’s output process. Nothing changes for the customer placing the order, and nothing changes for the systems that receive the file.
- A customer places an order on an Infigo storefront. The product can be personalised in the online designer, supplied as a static PDF or built as a multi-part product.
- Infigo creates the output file as usual, including any PDF processing already set up for that product.
- Infigo sends the file to Ultimate Impostrip®, which applies the imposition workflow linked to that product.
- The imposed, production-ready file replaces the original output and goes to your hotfolder or MIS in the usual way.
- Every imposition run is logged in the Infigo admin, so your team can see which jobs have been processed.
Imposition is switched on for each storefront and set up product by product, so you can start with your highest-volume lines and extend from there.
What it means for print service providers
Demand is moving towards more jobs with less time on each. According to the State of the Industry Report 2026 from PRINTING United Alliance, 64.7% of print firms say clients are requesting faster job turns and 54.6% say clients are moving to shorter runs.
